Ohio Art League's Fall Juried Exhibition Opens Sept. 5 At Capital University's Schumacher Gallery

Opening Reception Sept. 7, 2023

Capital University’s Schumacher Gallery will feature a juried exhibit by members of the Ohio Art League from Sept. 5 through Dec. 8, 2023.

The Fall Juried Exhibition is part of a bi-annual tradition at The Schumacher Gallery that has been a mainstay of the arts in Ohio for several years. The exhibition is ever-changing, pairing member artists from every imaginable medium with a juror who brings their own flair to the selection process. The 2023 Fall Juried Exhibition Juror is Bellamy Printz, co-founder of Zygote Press in Cleveland, a non-profit printmaking workshop now in its 25th year of operations. She is also an active member and artist in the Cleveland art community, with personal and professional ties to major businesses, institutions, and organizations where she has been organizing exhibitions for 23 years. For more than 13 years, Printz was a member of the curatorial team at Cleveland Clinic’s Art Program in the Art + Design Institute.

The Ohio Art League is an innovative leader in Ohio that has been supporting artists throughout all stages of their careers since 1909. OAL connects member artists from across the state to patrons of the arts. Through professional development, mentorship, and advocacy, OAL works strategically to help Ohio cultivate and retain top art talent while positioning the state as a hub for the arts.

The Schumacher Gallery is located on the fourth floor of Blackmore Library on Capital University’s Bexley campus. The exhibit opens on Tuesday, Sept. 5, with the opening reception on Thursday,      Sept. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. It will be on display through Dec.8, 2023.
